The British Golf Industry Association (BGIA) is pleased to announce its membership of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Golf. The BGIA is the lead trade body for manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors of golf products and services in the UK.

BGIA members represent a large proportion of the UK golf industry and some of the world’s biggest sporting brands.

BGIA incoming Chair, Martin Wild, says: “The APPG for Golf is instrumental in pulling together the golf industry to focus on growing the game of golf.  We’re delighted to be able to join with our industry partners and support their efforts in making the game as inclusive as possible.

“With links to many of golf’s most iconic players, the BGIA’s influence is substantial.  With over two million followers on social media, our reach extends to the golfing community and beyond.

“The APPG for Golf has been responsible for some fantastic industry initiatives to create opportunities for everyone to get involved with the game. We look forward to working closely with the Group to ensure that the health, social and economic benefits of the sport are realised at both local and national level.

“Our hope is that more people will be encouraged to take part in the sport and enjoy the significant health and wellbeing benefits that participation offers for people of all ages and from all walks of life.

“BGIA members invest millions into the game, constantly developing solutions to improve player experience. Our members’ close connections to local golf communities, players, businesses and golf clubs means that the BGIA is highly instrumental in the promotion of golf to the widest possible audiences.

“We’re excited to be working with other stakeholders from across the sport to promote our great game and continue to introduce it to more people.”
