The British Golf Industry Association is proud to announce its continued sponsorship of the 2025 Women in Golf Awards, an event dedicated to celebrating the exceptional achievements of women across the golf industry.

Martin Wild, Chair of the BGIA, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to once again be part of the Women in Golf Awards. Through our support, the BGIA reaffirms its commitment to highlighting the pivotal roles women play throughout the industry.”

Since the pandemic, golf has witnessed a sharp rise in female participation. Clubs have seen new generations of women taking up the game, inspiring manufacturers – many of whom are BGIA members – to widen their product ranges in apparel, footwear and equipment to meet this growing demand.

“The post-pandemic surge in women playing golf is the most significant I’ve seen in my career,” said Martin. “It’s reshaping club culture, product offerings and the industry as a whole.”

The Women in Golf Charter – an initiative for change launched in 2018 by The R&A – has been an important part of this transformation of the game and the industry.

“The Women in Golf Charter has set a powerful benchmark for inclusion across our sport,” added Martin. “Thanks to The R&A and supporting organisations championing these guiding principles, the industry has progressed – something the BGIA and our members fully embrace.”

As a national trade body representing manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and service providers in golf, the BGIA supports positive strides for women and girls across all levels of the sport. Sponsoring the Women in Golf Awards and backing the Charter reflects the association’s belief that celebrating and empowering female talent enhances the future of golf – for players, businesses and communities alike.

“The Women in Golf Awards remain a crucial force in promoting diversity, showcasing female leaders and inspiring the next generation of women in golf,” said Martin. “The BGIA and its members are proud to be at the forefront of this positive momentum.”
