The East Course at Oak Hill Country Club was restored in 2020 by architect Andrew Green who sought to return the course to be more true to its original Donald Ross design. The course was originally built in 1921 after a land-swap with the University of Rochester gave Oak Hill Country Club a 355-acre plot of land in nearby Pittsford, NY. This replaced an 85-acre plot on the banks of the Genesee River where members played on their 9-hole layout. The increase in acreage allowed for two courses and a brand new clubhouse.
Oak Hill CC has hosted 3 previous PGA Championships, with the last occurring in 2013 and being won by Jason Dufner.
