After a two year break due to Covid restrictions, the BGIA’s annual charity Golf Day got back on track on 05 October at Woburn Golf & Country Club. With bacon rolls and a shotgun start at 9am on the beautiful Duke’s course, 22 teams of four competed at the event followed by a networking lunch and a prize presentation.

BGIA Chair Martin Wild, says: “There has always been a real buzz at this event and never more so than this year. I am absolutely delighted that the BGIA Golf Day is back on the golfing calendar. Playing at Woburn is a real privilege and my sincere thanks go to Woburn Golf Club for hosting and helping us to raise money for The Golf Foundation and Grow Golf Fund.

“The Golf Day is a unique opportunity for senior leaders in the industry to network, support the growth of golf and indulge their love of the game with some healthy competition! BGIA members can look forward to more networking opportunities in the future, to help ensure that we continue to grow the game and unite the industry yet further.”

Our members said:

“It was great to get all the industry manufacturers together for one day for the greater good of the game. Market competitors aside, it’s about coming together and supporting the industry as a collective. A truly great day!” Brian Martin, Cobra Puma Golf

“Thanks to the BGIA and Woburn for putting on such an enjoyable day. A great opportunity to entertain customers among friends and colleagues from the industry at a wonderful venue and to help support growing the game. It was a pleasure to be a part of.” Charlie Casson, PGB Sports Ltd

“It was great to see all the manufacturers’ teams at the Woburn BGIA event. After the past couple of years, I felt everyone appreciated being able to meet face-to-face at such a special place. The hospitality that Woburn gave us was exceptional and Nick, Deborah, Bob and Martin made the day so much more pleasurable by the seamless organisation. Nothing could have gone better – apart from my golf, of course!” Lee Farrar, Wilson
