The BGIA’s annual Golf Day took place on Monday 26 September at Frilford Heath Golf Club in Oxfordshire. Held on the Club’s premier Red Course ahead of the English Trophy later in October, players were able to enjoy the Challenge Tour course.
24 teams competed at the event, which began with early bacon rolls and a shotgun start at 10am. After a networking lunch in the afternoon, prizes were presented to the winning teams and participants.
BGIA Chair Martin Wild says:
“The BGIA Golf Day is always a major highlight on the golfing calendar and this year was no exception. It’s a great opportunity for the industry to get together and share their enthusiasm for the game and my thanks go to Frilford Heath for hosting the day so wonderfully. Thanks also to our members for their generous donations – Callaway and Taylor Made for the prizes and Acushnet, Golf Pride, Max Protein and Brand Fusion for providing everyone with such superb ‘goody bags.’
“The buzz within our industry continues to grow and it was a pleasure to be amongst so many key industry figures who are as committed to growing the game as we are. The BGIA continues to work on some exciting initiatives and partnerships and seeing the engagement from everyone there was extremely encouraging.”
