The British Golf Industry Association is proud to announce its continued sponsorship of the 2025 Women in Golf Awards.

The British Golf Industry Association (BGIA) held its annual Golf Day and Lunch at Frilford Heath, Oxfordshire on Wednesday 04 June, with 21 teams of four competing on the excellent Red Course.

The 2024 Women in Golf Awards, set to take place on 28 November at Foxhills, promises to be an inspiring celebration of the vital contributions women make across every area of the golf industry.

Charlotte Wild is Key Account Manager for Adidas Golf. With an impressive background as a professional golfer representing England and a flourishing career in the golf industry, Charlotte has a wealth of experience in the sport.

Helen Willsmer, Director of Golf Apparel EMEA at Perry Ellis International (Callaway Golf Apparel & Original Penguin Sports), is a leading figure in the golf industry. In addition to her role as an Executive Officer for the British Golf Industry Association (BGIA), she also sits on the Board of the Federation of Sports and Play Associations (FSPA). We spoke to Helen about her inspiring journey, the achievements of women in golf and her thoughts on the future for women in this industry.

-Industry to encourage golfers to take on biggest fundraiser in golf this summer-

The Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) has embarked on a groundbreaking research initiative in collaboration with Ipsos, a global leader in market research. This comprehensive project, named "Golf for All," aims to define the future of golf by uncovering the evolving dynamics of golf participation and challenging traditional perceptions of the game.

The BGIA’s much anticipated annual Golf Day took place on 03 May at Frilford Heath Golf Club in Oxfordshire. A record 23 teams attended the event this year, which was held on the Club’s immaculate Red Course.

Building on their recently-announced partnership, The PGA and the British Golf Industry Association (BGIA) will this week collaborate to help grow the game of golf through the PGA Play initiative.

A major highlight on the golfing calendar

BGIA Chair Martin Wild addressed guests at The Open Lunch at St Andrews on 13 July. In his speech he reported that the BGIA now has the largest and most diverse membership it has had in many years, with members parking their self-interest at the door in order to focus on growing the game, particularly for children and young people. He expressed his wish that every child should get the chance to play the game and reported that during the pandemic a whole new younger generation had been introduced to golf. The BGIA are united in their efforts to build on this and continue to work together to introduce golf to more and more young people.

The BGIA is pleased to announce that their annual charity Golf Day last October raised £4163.43.

After a two year break due to Covid restrictions, the BGIA’s annual charity Golf Day got back on track on 05 October at Woburn Golf & Country Club. With bacon rolls and a shotgun start at 9am on the beautiful Duke’s course, 22 teams of four competed at the event followed by a networking lunch and a prize presentation.

The Slip! Slap! Swing! campaign, launched by the Melanoma Fund in 2019, with the support of leading golf organisations, aims to change this.  The campaign had a successful 2020, with over 300 of the most prestigious golf clubs in the UK and Ireland becoming Sun Protection Accredited, and now charity is stepping this up.

Everyone is invited to join the Captain Tom 100, a challenge based around the number 100, to raise funds for charities over Captain Tom’s birthday weekend of Friday 30 April – Bank Holiday Monday 3 May
